Walking can be started from the beginning of:

  • First trimester-:  walking can be started from the beginning of the first trimester of pregnancy. You may start to walk for 30 minutes a day to 1hour.
  • Second trimester: you should continue to walk the way you do. Though the recommended time for walking is about 30 minutes. Too much walking may also become a problem.
  • Third trimester: This trimester is for rest. You should stop walking for longer and moderate periods. Take rest as much as you can.

 How Many Steps Should A Woman Walk In A Day:

Walking is one of the best exercises that you can do while pregnant. So How many steps should a woman walk in a day is the question.

On an average, a woman should walk 30-40 minutes in a day. This can be done for 4 days to 6 days a week. But everyone’s walking capacity is not the same and it varies from person to person.

If you are a regular walker than you must continue to walk the way you did earlier.

But in certain cases it may become a problem as in the case where you have the problem of high blood pressure then you should not walk too much.

Also if you have had a history of heart or lung or any other related disease then you should not walk too much. Doctor’s approval becomes important.
