Let your doctor know about the medications you’ve been taken all this time, until your pregnancy. Self-medication can be harmful, thus, it is better to consult a professional. Avoid going to saunas or places where the temperature is higher than your body temperature. Higher temperatures during the first trimester of pregnancy can affect the baby.
Work out regularly. Mild exercises help in proper functioning of the bodily processes. Though walking is the best option, you can also go for Yoga with consultation from your OB/GYN. Long distance traveling precaution during the first month of pregnancy is must, as this is the month having maximum chances of miscarriages. E.g. Traveler’s diarrhea at this stage might risky for your baby.
Your own emotions and mood can deeply affect the baby. Therefore, keep a healthy mind and a happy attitude. You can even go for meditation. Since your body is going under changes, you should not wear tight clothes. Give your body it’s needed space.
Since your body is undergoing a lot of physical and hormonal changes, you tend to get tired easily. Do get proper rest and sleep for at least 8-9 hours. A sleepy, grumpy you will definitely affect the child. Wearing heels increases the risk of tripping and losing the baby. Hence, wear flats or comfortable shoes and keep your baby safe.

Remember to take out time for yourself and take ample rest. It is good for you and the baby. Do not keep your stomach empty as it induces gas formation, and makes you more nauseated.
Your breasts might show symptoms of heaviness, which is just a sign of your changing body. Consult your doctor if you experience any pain. Do not take any painkillers or antibiotics without the knowledge of your OB/GYN.
You need to get some urine tests done:

  Sugar, for any signs of gestational diabetes.

 Protein, for kidney problem or hypertension.

Hypertension precaution during the second month of pregnancy is a must. The more you worry, the more you suffer. But here, your baby will suffer too. So, do not wear yourself out, do not fuss. Seek the company of your partner, and do not create distances.
You must also ensure the tests for:

  Iron and hemoglobin levels in the blood

  Infectious diseases

  Genetic disorders

Keep doing what you’ve been doing until now. Treat yourself better and do go for periodic check-ups. You and the baby are safe, and that is the only thing that should matter right now.

The ultrasound, urine and blood tests must be done periodically, with the consultation of your Gynaecologist.
